Highway México Tuxpan Nuevo Necaxa-Tihuatlán

This project will connect the coast of the Gulf of Mexico to Mexico City, which is the most efficient connection between the high plateau (altiplano) and the port of Tuxpan (State of Veracruz), one of the most important in the country, with a very important trade exchange with USA and Canada.
This project consists in the construction of a highway (type A4) with a budget of 450 million Mexican Pesos, located in Sierra Norte (Puebla). It has six double tunnels, the longest one being Zoquital Tunnel (1380m). There is an excavation volume in the section of more than 11 million m3. It includes also twelve bridges, one of them being 860m-long San Marcos Bridge, with a pillar height of 225m above ground level, the second highest in the world.
The construction of this highway requires a special effort from all the participants due to the rough nature of the terrain. This has required a good risk management and has resulted in a great satisfaction for the company. We are proud to have taken part in one of the most complete and most important civil works in Mexico.
